The Ministry of Education has carried out its annual reshuffle exercise. 61 Singapore schools will be getting new principals next year (2018).
In a recent statement released to the press, MOE said the appointment of these new principals represents an important career milestone as the new principals will be assuming a broader range of responsibilities.
The process of appointing and rotating principals allows Singapore schools to benefit from new perspectives and enables experienced principals to share their insights across schools.
Mr Pang Choon How, an old boy of Hwa Chong Institution, will be its new principal. He currently serves as a Director in Curriculum Planning and Development at MOE.
Mr Frederick Yeo, who has been in the education service for 20 years, will become the new principal of Raffles Institution. He is currently the principal of Crest Secondary School.
